Local Women Attend Federation Luncheon

A delegation of Rockaway women is attending the luncheon being held today in the Sheraton-Astor Hotel to climax the efforts of the Women's Division in the Federation Philanthropic campaign.

Awards will be presented to Marilyn Monroe, Victor Borge and Orson Wells for their contributions to the entertainment field. The luncheon is expected to bring the federation fund over $2,000.000 mark.

lol. Marilyn Monroe on the list alone would have brought in the $2,000,000 mark. Luncheon or no luncheon.

so the document of the diploma gives us the date of January 26, 1956 but the newspaper is dated from February 2, 1956 and on the text one can read "awards will be presented" so after February 2, 1956.
