You're both welcome, I hope you can catch them this week.

I keep missing Love Happy. Aargh!

Posted by: Ginger Sugar Feb 5 2009, 07:01 PM

You're not missing much by missing Love Happy! lol

I've seen all of Marilyn's movies and I can safely say that Love Happy is my least favourite by FAR.

Accroding to my online sources, there are no MM films on British television this week I'm afraid. You'll have to make do with your DVDs and videos for the next seven days people!

Posted by: Bobby Jun 23 2009, 05:30 PM

Not a lot happening on UK television this week either unfortunately. No MM films being shown that I can find. Apologies!

Posted by: Scottish Sugar Jun 25 2009, 05:36 PM

I just find it really funny that I had only just been telling someone on here that there's a Marilyn monvie on television at LEAST once a week in the UK, but for the past couple of weeks, there's been nothing.

Just got next weeks tv guide, no sign of Marilyn either, unless I've missed something.

Nope. Although, The Seven Year Itch is on Sky Movies on satellite television, Saturday lunchtime. That's all folks.

Posted by: Scottish Sugar Jul 4 2009, 12:13 PM

Love Happy is on on Monday night/Tuesday morning 4.25am-5.50am on channel 4.

This is my least fave Marilyn movie, so don't worry folks if you're not prepared to wake up at such an awful time in the morning lol.

The Prince and the Showgirl is on tomorrow (Saturday the 11 of july) at 2.15pm on BBC 2. The time may vary for other regions (I'm in Wales). Just thought I'd let anyone who's interested know as I hadn't seen anyone mention it.

Excellent! A Ticket To Tomahawk is a MUST see for any Marilyn fans, it's such a cute movie and Marilyn actually gets quite a lot of screen time considering there's no dialogue from her. Love the musical number she does with Dan Dailey.

Incidentally, Sky Movies Classics (Sky channel 308) are showing Gentlemen Prefer Blondes on Friday (10.30am and 9pm). Being a vintage movie geek, I've been checking the listings weekly for many months and this is Sky Movies' first airing of GPB in that time. This must mean, I believe, that it's a new addition to their 'roster' of classic films. A wise acquisition I'm sure you'll agree.

A rare and wonderful treat!

BBC2 is showing "The Prince and the Showgirl" tomorrow, Sunday 16 May at 12.30pm.

A good reason to have a very late Sunday lunch!

Or a very early one!

The 'True Movies' channel on Sky 321/ Virgin 424/ Freesat 302 are showing
Moviola: This Year's Blonde today at 19:00 tonight. I've never seen this one or heard of it but I'll certainly be watching.

"The story of screen siren Marilyn Monroe (Constance Forslund), from her days as an aspiring actress through to her doomed love affair with high-powered agent Johnny Hyde (Lloyd Bridges)" - http://www.truemovies.tv

I've seen this and didn't really enjoy it. It's just full of trash. Plus its completely inaccurate... they show Marilyn in the recording studio singing "My Heart Belongs To Daddy" for 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'... so that gives you an indication of what you can hope to expect.
