Just wondered if any of you out there have dreamt or still have dreams about Marilyn and what happened in them?
Suprisingly considering I live in a shrine to the fine lady (and despite my best efforts) I don't tend to dream about her that often. Being a red-blooded and (relatively) young man though who only has to look at a picture of her to feel the desire you'd be surprised that my dreams of her have never taken that route. I'm often walking through the New York streets with her and we're just chatting really freely and laughing or we're just driving along a freeway just going nowhere listening to music and feeling the wind in our hair (well in Marilyn's hair - I've got a shaved head these days!) One very vivid dream stands out though of us just sat in a bar in a city somewhere having a Coffee and just talking about life, love and what all of this really means. I guess all of these visions of her spring up from the many books I've read, thousands of photographs I've gazed at longingly and the countless times I've seen her films and just formed itself on one night in particular into just the most lucid experience, one of those dreams that touch you so deeply that when you wake up you have that terrible sinking feeling of the realisation that it was only that, a dream. Ok, so I never even got to kiss her but maybe that's my subconscious. The instant physical attraction is obvious and I don't deny that initially that was part of what drew me in but many years into my magnificent obsession I have gone way beyond that and found this amazing depth to her to the point that if she ever manifested herself by some miracle my first instinct would be not to leap on her as so many did but to sit her down and chat and just be fascinated by her views and her company. I've always felt that in a one to one situation she would be just dynamite and the night she pulled up a chair alongside me in my sleep was an experience I've always wanted to repeat, it was a thrill even if it was only something far into my imagination that brought her back. Each night I put my head on my pillow I still hope that somewhere between the darkness and the dawn she will come back, but as yet it hasn't happened. I guess somebody so loved has a lot of people to see. |

Just that you care enough for her in reality is a dream in itself. Be proud and knowing that you are special because you see her in a light very few can... (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/throb.gif)

It's strange but I've never dreamt about meeting Marilyn. But I sometimes dream about finding pictures of her. It's like the pictures are pieces of a puzzle, or clues to a mystery that is never fully solved. I wonder what it means?!

I have never dreamt of Marilyn herself either, but I dream many many times that I have found rare magazine articles or books and pictures of her. That's weird huh?

I have never had a dream where Marilyn herself was actually in it. I have had a dream where I collected certain things... like found rare pictures, bought something she owned, etc.

I've never dreamt about her, or about anyone else for that matter. I hardly remember my dreams... (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/no.gif)

I have those same sorts of dreams, in which she features in the form of pictures. One time I was trying to investigate her death and that was strange. I was looking through various files and things. I remember it really clearly and I swear was there but at the same time... not =/ I can't really explain something like that. But I've never dreamt about her herself.

Wow, cool stories guys. I had a dream that got me a bit scared actually. On the front of my bedroom door I have a picture of the Andy Warhol Marilyn. I had a dream that my cousin and I were talking outside of my bedroom, and I was standing with my back facing the door. My cousin gave me a weird look as she stared past me at the picture. I turned around and the photo of Marilyn was blinking and looking right back at me. It was comforting in a way, but extremely realistic and shocking. I'm sure I have had other dreams about her, but none where I've actually met her. (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/balloon.gif)

I've had numerous dreams of Marilyn in the 13 years or more that I've made her one of my obsessions.
One of my very first dreams was finding a whole isle of nothing but her at a local flea market ... articles, photos, etc. that I'd never seen before and I just knew were the rarest things I'd ever find ... and that no one else would have. Another dream I had was after I'd commissioned a huge painting of her from an artist friend. His painting was based on the photo by Milton Green of Marilyn in her white blouse and floral skirt sitting in the tree at I believe Laurel Canyon ... Anyway, the painting hangs on the main wall of my office and I had a dream that somehow the painting had become a window into the past. The canvas was no longer there, it was a hole in the wall and as I looked into the hole, I could see a vast forest outside ... and for some reason I felt if I had stepped through the frame and into that hole, I'd have been there and ran into her and Milton that day. But as I kept looking I didn't see her anywhere ... so the dream continues and finally I remember there being a large crash and like the scene from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes where she was stuck in the round window ... Marilyn was half in her little world of the painting and half in my office. I also had a few dreams about her home and her final days back when I was researching it for the book I illustrated. I was totally immersed in that world for months on end and I ended up dreaming about her house and her and days by the pool at her home ... I've also had dreams where I'm at her crypt speaking to her ghost as though it roams the park ... Lots of dreams, lots of small talk with her ... and every one of them leaves me feeling like just maybe somehow on some level she's communicated with me ... but then some of them I just feel are the crazy thoughts of an obsessed fan! Actually i have dreamed with marilyn, first I dreamt that I was in the set of some like in hot, and she was filming a scene and then in a break in film she said hi to me.
The second time I dreamed of her I was walking in a long long street, and i found a restaurant in the middle of nowwhere, there was many people inside, and in one tabla there was Marilynas norma jeane sitting next to james dougherty, I remember that in the dream I told her that she was the most beautiful woman I had seen. And the third time (probably the most exciting) was in a time when i had many problems in my life, and I dreamed with marilyn, I was sitting in my room, and she came in and sitted next to me, and started to tell me how to solve each of my problems the thing is that I did exactly the way he told me in my dream and it worked, I remember her face closely and her voice telling me the solution to my problems. I love dreaming with her, I hope you do beleive me since three dreams were special experiences to me. |

Jeharsy, here is a Dream Analysis of your Dreams... (From the software I provided above)
2nd Dream: Joys and profit are predicted. You will have a congenial friend who will devise many pleasurable surprises for you. A big surprise is in store for you. You are nearing enemies who will involve you in trouble. Your desires will fail to materialize. 3rd Dream: Unhappiness is predicted. Disappointments in some form will likely appear. I just had a Marilyn dream the night before yesterday. I dreamt that I was at a beach, it was supposedly the beach where the Sam Shaw photos were taken. There were other people, but Marilyn was there too. She was wearing that same white bathing suit and she wasn't with the rest of the crowd. She was there with Arthur Miller. I saw them there, Marilyn was running in the sand and in the water, and she seemed so happy. Arthur followed her more slowly and he also took some pictures of her. Then they left the beach, and climbed there stairs that led high above the beach, and their house was there. It was really a happy dream (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)
I've also dreamt of meeting Marilyn, talking to her, and she's always been a very warm, loving and happy person. I also have dreams about finding a new shop full of Marilyn postcards and other things. Sadly, those are just dreams (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes1.gif) |

I have had a few dreams about marilyn. In the dreams Marilyn and I just hang out and talk about stuff. These are my favorites and they always leave me with a nice warm feeling after I wake up.

Have you ever had a dream where you were actually Marilyn?
I had a dream like that just a couple of nights ago. I dreamt that I was Norma Jeane, eight years old, and I was living with Grace and Doc in their house. I remember the house being kinda small and there weren't lots of fancy furniture, just the basics. Lots of beige. We had several cats but "they" (I have no idea who "they" were) came and told me that if I couldn't keep the cats inside the house "they" would take them away. I tried to keep the cats inside the house but you know how cats are, they kept sneaking out every time someone opened the door. I told Grace how important it was to keep the cats inside, but she told me not to worry: "they" probably weren't serious and she let the cats go as they pleased. She was a happy-go-lucky person who had an answer to every question, but took some things too lightly - just as I picture the real Grace to be. Well, "they" did come back and took one of the cats away, I remember it was a red-white cat called Oliver and he was my favorite of all the cats. I cried so much and begged them not to take the cat and then I woke up. Strange, huh? I have never before had a dream where I am somebody else - I mean sometimes I can be other things like a secret agent or something, but still I'm always me, if you know what I mean. But this time I was Norma Jeane. I could feel her emotions so intensely. Almost scary. |

I've only ever had a nightmare when I was Marilyn - it was Comic Relief Day 2005 and I had a hell of alot of trouble getting around the office in those heels and the white dress was far too clingy! What on earth possessed me I don't know. |
