Well Nina, we better wait for the experts to reply on this for sure, but I was under the impression that it was Allen Grant who had her last photo shoot that went along with her last interview by Richard Meryman in August 1962. I know others have said it was George Barris, so I know someone will correct me if I am wrong. If anyone has the Allen Grant article about her last shoot with Marilyn I would love to read it.

I have seen in a book about Marilyn that this photo was the last ever taken of her,by George Barris.

It said below the picture in the book: This was the last photograph ever taken of Marilyn Monroe.

I read in 'Goddess' that the last photos of Marilyn at Cal-Neva showed her 'in utter disarray', but she looks just fine in these ones. But then, nowadays I have many doubts about that book!

I'm not sure when the Allen Grant session took place. In Gloria Steinem's book it is stated that Missy's photo is the last one that George Barris took. But in his later book, Barris says it is the one I've posted below. It was the end of the session and Marilyn was saying goodbye.

I love it too! That whole beach session is fantastic - it's like she's returning to a place she loved. I like to think she still had these moments of happiness at the end of her life.

I believe that the kissing pic is to sentimental to be the last one.....
My Alan Grant pics are classified as July 9th.
