Am I the only one who will be glad to see the back of 2016? Have you had a good 2016?

It's a year that has seen us lose a vast amount of worldwide talent - David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, Prince, George Michael, Alan Rickman, Gene Wilder, Muhammed Ali, Harper Lee, George Martin, Leonard Cohen as well as a glut of UK known talent and national treasures. All such established and talented people who have always been there and now are not.

Our world is changing beyond recognition with bombings and killings all over the place, the weirdest candidate ever getting into the White House and Britain opting out of Europe.

For me it's been the worst and most grim year of my life with my personal life which has been steady and very happy for 14 years completely falling apart under truly the worst circumstances and heartbreaking treatment, and me losing my home and pretty soon, my business. I have had no say in any of it. I am having to, in my early 40's, start my life again from scratch - just me and my dog. I draw strength from family and friends but also from Marilyn's life, amongst many. She coped with huge adversity and came back time after time without the backing of a close family. I marvel at how she managed. What a truly remarkable lady Marilyn was.

Hope your family helps in these tough times Fav. Just keep that inner strength that Norma Jeane always had during the depression when she was in the bread line with Grace. Or when she was dropped off at the orphanage. There is always a light when it seems faded from view. Love you and we all are here for you.

(IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) Hi Fav
I didn't even know George Michael and Leonard Cohen had passed away. So sad to know. I read Leonard struggled with depression and George Michael with a drug addiction. Poor tormented souls. Rest in Peace to all of them.

I am so sad to hear these things are happening in your life (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/no.gif) .
I send you my love and my prayers. (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/mmmaf_116.gif)

I too have had one struggle of a year. It is a struggle on a daily basis.
I feel it as soon as I wake up and just do what I can to get through the thing that needs doing for the moment.
I want to take a pill and go to sleep.
And morning comes quickly and it starts all over again. Another day. And another day. And another day.

I knew Christmas was going to be unbearable for me so I went to my doctor and asked for medication to keep my head above water. Thank God for that.
When I get really bad I take a pill, or a pill and a half and try to get some sleep. The less sleep I get the worst I feel. Everything seems so hopeless. The world, as you said. The elections. I cannot watch TV, listen to the radio, look at media AT ALL. It's too upsetting and I can't deal with it.
Its overwhelming most of the time. Once in a while I get a break and I see a bit of light but I know it won't last. And it doesn't.

Marilyn, I don't even know how she survived as long as she did. She was really tough even though she seemed so fragile to us. I am happy she is not suffering ever again.

I am praying for anyone else who may be in a bad place right now when it's suppose to be the Happiest time of the year.
I'm glad Xmas is finally over and I survived it. I am praying for a miracle in my life. How can this go on and on and on ?
I am here for you if you need. You can PM me 24/7.

All my love (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)

Thank you very much Megan (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/balloon.gif)

Joan I feel your pain. I truly do. Christmas was unbearable for me too. I just tried to ignore it and have avoided socialising. I understand your feeling of hopelessness. Just take it one day at a time. One thing at a time. I know it can be hard to find value in anything. Please PM me too if you need to. I really mean that. x (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/console.gif)

'Fav' You are too kind. Thank you for that. You say such caring things. They give me hope and I feel faith in humanity. I promise, I will remember your words. One day at a time. I had a better day today. Thank you (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/throb.gif) (IMG:http://d2eae8pjw8pj4b.cloudfront.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) .
