Article today about Warren Beatty. Part of it claims he was one of last to see Marilyn before she died.
Quote -
"Beatty even shared a stroll on the beach with Marilyn Monroe, although he said it was more 'soulful than romantic'. He had met Monroe that very night, at the Malibu home of Rat Pack actor Peter Lawford.

Monroe asked him his age and sat at the edge of the piano as he played, wearing an outfit so clingy that Beatty could tell she wasn't wearing underwear.

Beatty recalled that she was already tipsy from the champagne before the sun set.

Beatty was one of the last people to see Marilyn Monroe alive. He met the icon at a Malibu home the night before she died

The next day, he got a phone call: ‘Did you hear? Marilyn Monroe is dead', he was told.

Beatty was one of the last people to see her alive. "

The timeline does not seem right. I thought Marilyn died around 8.30 pm the same evening Beatty says he met her ?

Doesn't really make sense indeed. Marilyn was at home on August 3d. She made several phone calls that day; the Rostens, Jean-Louis (she had ordered a gown from him for the premiere of a musical which was set in September and wanted a dress fitting), Jule Styne, a musical composer and arranger who was set to compose some songs for Marilyn's next project "I Love Louisa" and Arthur Jacobs who also called her to ask her some questions about "I Love Louisa". Later in the afternoon a delivery was made to her house from Franks Nurseries. Milton Rudin quickly visited her to make an appointment about the restarting of "Something's Got To Give". Marilyn and Pat Newcomb had dinner at Marilyn's house and both went to bed early.

In the early morning of August 4th Eunice Murray arrived, Marilyn got up around 9 and had a breakfast consisting of just a glass of grapefruit juice. About an hour later Lawrence Schiller visited Marilyn and they discussed the photographs he had taken of her on the set of "Something's Got To Give". At noon, Pat Newcomb woke up and joined Marilyn and Eunice Murray in the garden. Then Marilyn and Pat placed some new furniture Marilyn had bought in and around the house and then rested together at the poolside. Greenson visited Marilyn later in the afternoon and left at around 7.00 PM, shortly after Pat Newcomb left as well. Marilyn informed Eunice Murray that she didn't want dinner. She called with Joe DiMaggio Jr., Peter Lawford and Greenson. Between 8.00 and 8.30 PM Lawford called Marilyn back and he found she had a thick voice, becoming less and less audible. Soon he didn't hear anything, as if she had put the phone or let it fall. He tried to call her back but the line was busy. He asked the operator to stop the call but he was answered that the phone was picked up. Around the same time a thick feminine voice called Ralph Roberts's messaging service, who was out. From here on, details become fuzzy.

Here's the Vanity Fair article. http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/1...eatty-interview It's an interesting read generally. Though like Robby I can't think his timings are right but Vanity Fair is a pretty reliable publication so hmmmm.?
