May 6th 2005 : NEW RULES!

Before you start to post here, please remember that this is the place to ask only questions related to a photo or photographer, dates or events etc. It's not the right forum to post requests for/like

- bigger sizes
- without the watermark
- more from this session etc.

Those (for example) belong to the "Pictures Requests" subforum.

To me she looks like Marilyn but I don't think she is. I visited Earl Moran's page quite some time ago and I found only 5 photos from Mirror sitting and she wasn't wearing white bikini in those photos (black nightie). I could be wrong so if somebody knows for sure I would like to know too is she Marilyn or not.

No.

There is a thread for this somewhere here. With more photos from this session showing the model's face, clearly not MM.

The clearest clue in this photo would be the hands. Any Marilyn hand experts around to verify if the fingers/hand looks the same? The hair doesn't look right to me either. For one, the parting falls the wrong way. It's dropping to this woman's left side. Marilyn generally styled her part in the opposite direction. There are exceptions to that rule of course, but I can't think of any photo references from her earlier years which this image represents. Then again, it could be a 'flipped' image, which would not be much help to this theory. (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

As I said, there is a thread somewhere for this photo. And another photo from this session was posted, clearly showing the models face, it is obvious it wasn't MM.

I read what you said, however without a reference to the actual thread verifying the sitter in front of the mirror, it isn't entirely answering the original poster's question. Unless someone knows what to look for in the search and can post the link here, (IMO) in the interim, further discussion on this topic from other members should continue.

If they were trying to create a fake Marilyn image, the fact that we can't see the model's face clearly shows by common sense that it's not her and it's fake.

I had asked about this photo a while back and we never really came to a conclusion about whether it was Marilyn or not

Ya, there was also an older thread that someone had posted with more pics of the supposed model.

Great find Considerate! The hair does look like a 1930s-ish fit.. Reminds me a little of Jean Harlow type hair. The mystery of this deepens...

I'm still not convinced that it isn't Marilyn. If you look closely at the eyes to me they look like Marilyn's. Plus that there are pictures with the same bikini on. Even the backside of the bikini looks the same.
