I just wanted to stop by and say Aloha...
and a 'Thank you ever so'...for all of your wonderful articles etc.

I'm a new member to this website.

I currently reside in Hawaii...I am kitty cat mom to my precious Honey.

I am a collector of Jack Lord...I knew him personally.
My collection was stolen some time ago and I am looking to put it back together.
If Jack is dear to anyone else here and they can help me out -- thank you.
I would like to have a website/forum similar to this for Jack. Does anyone have the
articles of MM & JL??? Help!!!

I am a big MM fan and watch her movies when they are on. I also enjoy the big 'coffee table books' of her photos & some of the biographies. I liked Milton Greene's small paperback. Can't recall the title because I no longer have it. My favorite movie of hers is Niagara. The Misfits is sad to watch...and I finally saw The Prince & The Showgirl. I believe MM was totally under-rated and didn't get a real chance in life. She seemed to be a gentle and loving person who lived in a very dark and lonely place. I don't believe she she killed herself.

I sent scans of my MM material to Mel in case it's already posted here. It probably is, because I've noticed a lot of rare material and I'm only on page 5 of the magazine topic of the forum!!! It's nice to see the classics and catch up with the current ones too.
I had a lot more...but it was lost or stolen when I moved here from the east coast.

I enjoy music and collect some of it. I even made my own compilation of MM's songs. Does anyone have a list of songs MM recorded? Are there any other songs she recorded which were not in the movies?...I used to have the documentary with the restored footage of 'SGTG' -- does anyone know if there's a dvd of it? There is some music I am looking for if you'd like to know what, you may contact me.

My other interests are spending time with my loved ones, reading {especially autobiographies/biographies}, writing, cooking...
Does anyone know what MM's favorite foods were and if she liked to cook? Are there any of her recipes here on the forum? It would be cool to see those. I have read that she really liked chocolate {don't we all?}.

Say, what other tribute magazines are posted besides: Sydney Skolsky, Last Untold Secrets, MM {Italy}...Are the other 1962 ones posted here???

I'd better sign off for now...don't want to get too comfortable!!!
Thanks again from me and meow from Honey...

Hello JC and Honey from beautiful Hawaii (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif)

I too loved Jack Lord. I think he was a beautiful man and a very gifted artist. I found out later in life that he was a renounced painter.
I like this website myself: http://www.jack-lord.info/

Of course, I love that he knew Marilyn. I wish they had stayed close as they would have been great friends and he would have been a great influence on her.

I am also an Elvis fan JC. I love these of Jack and Elvis together.

Anyway, this is the Actors Studio threads and Roy Schatt which I love.

Check out our MM books thread to see what we all like and suggest for reading, etc.

Regarding her favorite foods I suggest you "search" it as there may be more threads;

Thank you Nettie --

According to Jack, he did stay close with MM and tried to help her. {He told me this himself}.

It is also my understanding that he photographed her as well -- he was an accomplished photographer who took many celebrity portraits -- of Gary Cooper, MM etc., etc., I do not have the photos he did of MM -- Someone I met told me he had the photos he took of her in his living room. {I didn't get their name etc. Wish I had, but my life was busy at the time.}

Jack loved MM & Elvis -- and he also collected autographs and photographs.
He never mentioned any other actress but MM. He spoke well of her and said she was very childlike.
She seemed to me to be very gentle, loving and kind. I wasn't blessed to have met her.

The pix seated at the table are new...
I have the pix with Elvis...
I have more Elvis pix -- If u want them, I can email them 2u {How do I do so???}
{with Nancy Sinatra from Speedway -- They're part of my music collection}
and the pix shown walking with MM {from different sources}

thanks for the links regarding the SGTG dvd/food/reading...
I've been enjoying the classic magazine articles!!! Especially the Tribute Magazines...
Hope there are more of those up...I'm still on page 5 due to internet malfunctions...
Again, I truly appreciate the generosity of the friends here -- I can say friends because you all more than mere fans...I can tell by your love for MM...If you didn't care, you wouldn't take the time to post all these wonderful items and info. Your help is greatly appreciated...Honey sends purrs and meows...
She is curled up nearby, supervising my typing!!!

Mine are downloads from the web...they were saved sometime ago...
I will post them -- Have to get them off my external hard drive...
There are only 2 or 3 -- I think!!! I'd love to see Jack's photos of MM too -- He did some pretty awesome portrait photography. The story is that he didn't like to be idle on any of the sets he worked on. So, he brought his camera(s) and took pictures.

Thanx again 2 EVERYONE for all this fabulous material and information...It is truly appreciated.
