I can't find any further info on it alas, so I'm wondering if it is a mix-up with the Banner/Anderson archive book (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Wow! Sounds very interesting. I'm getting very confused with all these 'personal archive' books now though!

Amazon.com says that

"There is no more recognized actress of the twentieth century than Marilyn Monroe. She starred in some of the greatest films ever made and had relationships with some of the most famous men in the world. Even after death she has continued to be surrounded by interest and controversy. Through over 170 beautiful photographs and approximately 20 rare and removable facsimile documents, "Marilyn Monroe: The Personal Archive" will uncover the private life of the star, revealing her crippling stage fright, insecurity, difficult childhood and her ambition to be the greatest actress the world had ever known."

So I'm thinking that this may be similar to Jenna Glatzer's Marilyn Monroe Treasures. Sounds good! (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif)

Amazon.co.uk has a different cover... Eisenstaedt photos seem to be the new gold dress photo as far as book covers go (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/wink3.gif)

Yes - and as much as I love Eisenstadt, I'm getting a little tired of seeing his photos on book covers! I preferred the other one - still excited about the book though... (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

You know, I just started thinking... This book is supposed to have about 20 removable facsimile documents - the same amount as Glatzer's MM Treasures had too. I hope they're not same ones!

I can vouch for it being a different book completely. They are using my signed check in this one. They weren't interested in the Korea tickets because it had appeared in the other book.

That's too cool they used 1 of your items! Thank you for letting them use it. I love this book. It's like having a little link to Marilyn. I want to frame a couple of the copies. I really adored this book.

Hello

I received my copy of the Personal Archive and my first thought is that it is wonderful. I haven't read the text yet, but the photos are very beautiful (most of which we have seen but there are some really lovely ones in there) and there are loads of pull out cheques, letters, documents, etc which are kept in envelopes in each section of the book.

From what I have seen so far, I whole-heartedly recommend it! It is a beautiful book.

Love
Michelle
