YAY! YAY! Thank you for posting this, I am so excited.

I read Spoto, Morgan, currently reading Guiles and the Gloria Steinem book (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/jumpymm.gif) (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/dancingmm2_279_203.gif) , wondering what to read next...Leaming or Taraborelli? Hmmm, maybe I should start a separate thread.

The Estate won't get in the way on this one as I'm 99.9 per cent sure that they have given their full approval. Lois came to visit me while she was writing the book and I got to know a lot about her plans and the work that had gone into the book. I definitely think it is one to look forward to. I can't wait!

Love

Oh good (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) It just came to my mind since the Estate now has the items.
I'm very excited about this book and will definitely order it as soon as possible. This might even help me with my Master's Thesis!

Yes, this one's most definitely a must-have for me too. Along with Maf the Dog, it's topping my wishlist right now! (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I am looking forward to this book as well, I pre-ordered it on Amazon! I'm reading "the misfits-Story of a shoot".
Quick question if anyone can help, i'm sure that this has to do with the article that was in Vanity Fair some time ago, "The Things She Left Behind". I just want to be sure thats what it is.....Thanks!

Yes Andre, I think you're right. As far as I can tell, it's probably going to be a photo book with commentary. With Lois Banner and Mark Anderson as co-authors, it does sound like it could be a follow-on from the VF article, only more detailed perhaps...

Looks like the publishing date has been pushed back from October 2010 to March 2011...

That's a pity, but good news for my credit card (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

With Fragments & Cindy De La Hoz's new book coming out in September, there will be plenty to enjoy in the meantime (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/marilynbybrandon_190.gif)

I've not bought a new Marilyn book in a while. I've got the Vanity Fair article and as far as I know, Lois Banner is a reliable source and well known. I may well have to purchase this when it comes out.

I'm a bit confused about when this book will actually be released. Amazon (both .com and .co.uk) say that it will be released in March 2011. The Book Depository gives the release date as December 1st 2010. However, some Finnish online bookstores are even more optimistic and think it will be released on October 31st 2010 (that was the original date on Amazon as well)! I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm wondering what the difference will be between Banner's book and De La Hoz, as they both deal with MM's personal property. I'm a little more interested in this one for Lois Banner's commentary, but I'll probably want both!

What I understood is that De La Hoz's book will be similar to Jenna Glatzer's Treasures. Banner's book will deal with the things that were found in the file cabinets some time ago. Vanity Fair did an article on that too. So I suppose that the books will be quite different.

I definitely want both books, and Fragments and Vachon's book as well. I can't remember when was the last time that so many wonderful books came out (IMG:http://www.everlasting-star.net/boards/style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)
