(IMG:style_emoticons/default/mf_w00t1.gif) This is so amazing that just looks like a picture, and her hand is so perfect, I don't know how you do that, I find hands so hard to draw !!

I love it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/throb.gif) (in fact there is none of your drawings that I don't like (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

I've just taken a photo of my new drawing, and it's SO difficult to avoid the graphite reflecting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/no.gif) Anyway, I've always loved this photo of Marilyn, she looks like a grown-up Shirley Temple.

THE CUTEST DRAWING OF MARILYN I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!

Ah, that's not my 'fault', it's Marilyn, she's always cute (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Dwane, it takes me about 3-4 days; I suppose I could do it a lot faster but I have a lot of other things to do so I only draw about an hour a day.
I'm doing this one next, from JFK's birthday party, I think she looks simply divine with her platinum hair (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

I think I have 10 kilos worth of pencils, Anais (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Ranging from B, 2B to 9B, of course. I use B and 2B to gradually create the shading of the skin and the darker ones for eyes, lips etc.

Ok thank you Ileana (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) I've never used a pencil higher than 5B, I find my drawings too dark sometimes so I can't imagine what it would look like if I used a 9B (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I draw shadows too much, I would like to know how to draw like you, you know, your drawings are so "luminous" I love that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/throb.gif)

I am very impressed. You sound like a professional graphist or something !
You master to perfection light, texture, everything.
Where have you learnt to do that ?

Oh my, I feel very very flattered that you think I took any classes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) I am definitely not a professional artist, as a matter of fact I shared with everyone at ES my first ever attempt about a year or so ago. Before that, no drawing since I was about 10. I had been wanting to for a while before I actually started but I was hesitant because I knew I couldn't do Marilyn justice. Well, as it turned out, I didn't! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) My first drawings were appalling, but I did more and more and learnt from my mistakes, I forced everyone to criticise them and I suppose I did get a bit better in time.
So, no, no courses, all self-taught during a long time.
